TERMS

  • The project is scheduled to start in APRIL 2024 and will run for approximately 10+ months until at least the end of December 2024 (with the option to extend).
  • Contract type: fixed-term employment or freelance project.
  • The position requires a commitment of 60 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementing distributed control systems (DCS) for industrial processes.
  • Utilizing software to manage systems and processes effectively.
  • Ensuring proper installation, configuration, and functionality of DCS components through troubleshooting.
  • Conducting maintenance, upgrades, and modifications of DCS, including overseeing contractor work.
  • Managing projects related to DCS implementation and maintenance, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Preparing technical documentation and providing DCS operation training as required.
  • Coordinating operations with internal and external teams, potentially leading teams for complex engineering solutions.
  • Providing customer support for DCS.
  • Safeguarding DCS security and ensuring safety and compliance with industry regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of DCS engineering experience.
  • Strong proficiency in mathematics and technical skills.
  • Knowledge of DCS computer hardware and software, including PLCs / SCADA / HMI programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and Function Block Diagrams.
  • Experience in team and project management.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous apprenticeship or relevant work experience is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Possession of a valid EU Driver's License or equivalent.
