YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

TEICON ENGINEERING invites you to join an ambitious project in Tarragona, where we're constructing a state-of-the-art facility for the production of industrial gases. This role is your chance to contribute to a massive project involving superstructures for methane and ethylene production, set to be transported to the United States.

  • Project Location: Tarragona, Spain
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Contract Type: Fixed-term employment or freelance contract
  • Duration: Until March 2026
  • Workload: 56 hours per week, 6 days per week

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate all welding activities on site in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Monitor and verify the performance of welders and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with approved welding procedures and quality requirements.
  • Conduct and document visual testing (VT Level 2) of welds, identifying defects and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support and, if qualified, perform radiographic testing (RT Level 2) and evaluate X-ray films for accurate assessment of weld quality.
  • Ensure that all welding work complies with safety regulations, project-specific requirements, and applicable international standards.
  • Collaborate closely with construction, quality, and commissioning teams to resolve welding-related punch points and non-conformities.
  • Maintain welding inspection records, issue daily reports, and contribute to lessons learned for future projects.
  • Promote a strong HSE culture throughout all welding-related activities.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Certified as Welding Engineer or Welding Specialist.
  • Certified in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) with Visual Testing (VT) Level 2; additional certification in Radiographic Testing (RT) Level 2 is a strong asset.
  • Proven experience in evaluating radiographic films and reporting weld quality results.
  • Several years of experience in supervising welding works within large-scale industrial construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of welding processes, inspection methods, and applicable international standards.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills in an international site environment.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with high attention to technical detail and compliance.
