YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

TEICON ENGINEERING invites you to bring your construction expertise to a major industrial gases expansion project in Mims, Florida. Delivered on behalf of a leading global industrial and chemical company, the project focuses on the large-scale upgrade of an advanced air separation facility that supplies the aerospace sector and other critical industries. The scope includes significant capacity expansions, integration of new cryogenic and process equipment, and multidisciplinary construction works supporting the long-term growth of high-purity oxygen, nitrogen, and other industrial gases essential for space launch operations and regional manufacturing.

  • Project Location: Mims (Brevard County), Florida
  • Start Date: ASAP (immediate mobilization)
  • Contract Type: Fixed-term employment or freelance contract
  • Duration: Approx. one year, with potential for extension
  • Workload: 56 hours per week, 6 days per week

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with the Construction Project Manager to develop and execute strategic construction plans, offering expert input on constructability and sequencing.
  • Support on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines across Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines.
  • Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and field personnel, resolve technical issues, and ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Conduct advanced reviews of construction drawings and specifications, identify potential conflicts, and propose effective solutions.
  • Prepare and manage construction documentation including RFIs, change orders, and progress reports to support procurement and tender processes.
  • Perform detailed material quantity takeoffs and critically evaluate contractor cost proposals for accuracy and value.
  • Monitor construction progress, perform quality assurance inspections, and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or you are a qualified Construction Tradesperson with extensive site experience in industrial construction projects.
  • You have at least 10 years of construction field experience within industrial plant, chemical, energy, or heavy-construction environments, including multidisciplinary site coordination.
  • You are experienced in supervising subcontractors, resolving technical field issues, reviewing construction documentation, and managing site execution across multiple crafts.
  • You are familiar with industrial safety standards, project workflows, and quality assurance practices; prior experience in gas plants, air separation units, cryogenic systems, or process facilities is a strong asset.
  • You are analytical, structured, and collaborative, comfortable working in dynamic, high-performance environments with international teams.
  • You are willing to work full-time on site, including extended hours when required by construction progress or critical path activities.
