YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

TEICON ENGINEERING is currently building a candidate pool for an upcoming large-scale project in the field of industrial process plant construction in the greater Nederland area, Texas.
The project will involve site-based execution activities within a complex industrial environment and is scheduled to start in Q2, with an initial duration of approximately six months and a potential extension.

  • Project Location: Greater Nederland area, Texas
  • Start Date: Q2 (exact date to be defined)
  • Contract Type: Fixed-term employment or freelance contract
  • Duration: Approx. six months, with option for extension
  • Workload: Typically up to 56 hours per week, 6 days per week

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate instrumentation construction activities on site within an industrial plant environment.
  • Ensure that instrumentation works are executed in accordance with project specifications, P&IDs, hook-up drawings, schedules, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and site crews, including daily task planning, progress tracking, and workforce supervision.
  • Interface closely with Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, and Commissioning teams to ensure proper system integration and smooth execution.
  • Monitor installation quality, calibration activities, and compliance with safety and HSE requirements.
  • Support inspection activities, loop checks, system walk-downs, and handover processes in preparation for pre-commissioning and commissioning.
  • Identify technical or execution-related issues on site and support their resolution in coordination with engineering and project teams.
  • Provide structured progress reporting and clear communication to site and project management.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have a completed technical education or degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a comparable discipline, or you are a qualified instrumentation technician with strong site supervision experience in industrial projects.
  • You have several years of hands-on experience as an Instrumentation Supervisor, Site Supervisor, or Lead Technician in industrial plant construction or heavy industrial projects.
  • You are familiar with field instrumentation installations, including transmitters, analyzers, control valves, tubing, impulse lines, and hook-up works.
  • You have solid experience working with subcontractors and multicultural site teams.
  • You are confident in reading and interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, hook-up drawings, and technical specifications.
  • You demonstrate a strong safety mindset and are experienced in working under strict HSE regulations.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally in English; additional language skills are an advantage but not required.
  • You are willing and able to work on site in the United States for the full project duration, including extended working hours if required.
