YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

TEICON ENGINEERING is currently hiring for a large-scale industrial process plant construction project in the Beaumont–Port Arthur metropolitan area. We are seeking site-based professionals for immediate engagement to support active execution activities within a complex industrial environment.

  • Project Location: Beaumont–Port Arthur metropolitan area, Texas
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Contract Type: Fixed-term employment or independent contractor (1099)
  • Duration: Up to one year, with the option to extend

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and manage mechanical completion activities on site in accordance with project handover and commissioning strategies.
  • Establish and maintain mechanical completion systems, subsystem breakdowns, and completion dossiers in line with project requirements.
  • Coordinate walk-downs, inspections, and punch list activities together with Construction, QAQC, and Commissioning teams.
  • Ensure that mechanical completion documentation is complete, accurate, and ready for system handover to commissioning.
  • Track progress of mechanical completion activities and identify gaps, delays, or interface issues between disciplines.
  • Support resolution of outstanding construction and quality items prior to handover.
  • Interface closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Commissioning teams to ensure smooth system turnover.
  • Provide structured reporting on mechanical completion status, readiness, and risks to site and project management.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have a completed technical education or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable discipline, or you are a qualified tradesperson with strong experience in mechanical completion or commissioning support roles.
  • You have several years of hands-on experience in mechanical completion, system handover, or commissioning coordination within industrial plant construction projects.
  • You are familiar with system and subsystem breakdown structures, completion dossiers, punch list management, and handover documentation.
  • You have experience working with multidisciplinary site teams and coordinating interfaces between construction and commissioning.
  • You are confident in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and completion documentation.
  • You demonstrate a strong safety mindset and are experienced in working under strict HSE regulations.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally in English; additional language skills are an advantage but not required.
  • You are willing and able to work on-site in the United States for the full project duration, including extended working hours if required.
