YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

TEICON ENGINEERING is currently hiring for a large-scale industrial process plant construction project in Beaumont–Port Arthur metropolitan area. We are seeking site-based professionals for immediate engagement to support active execution activities within a complex industrial environment.

  • Project Location: Beaumont–Port Arthur metropolitan area, Texas
  • Start Date: June / July 2026
  • Contract Type: Fixed-term employment or independent contractor (1099)
  • Duration: Up to six months, with the option to extend

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate painting, coating, insulation, and surface protection activities on site within an industrial process plant construction environment.
  • Ensure that all painting and insulation works are executed in accordance with project specifications, quality requirements, applicable standards, work procedures, and project schedules.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, insulation crews, coating applicators, and site personnel, including daily work planning, progress monitoring, workforce supervision, and interface management.
  • Monitor surface preparation activities such as blasting, cleaning, and coating preparation to ensure compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.
  • Supervise the installation of hot and cold insulation systems, cladding systems, passive fire protection systems, and related mechanical insulation works.
  • Ensure compliance with painting and coating specifications, including coating systems, dry film thickness requirements, curing procedures, environmental conditions, and inspection requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with Construction, QAQC, Mechanical, Piping, and HSE teams to ensure smooth execution of painting and insulation activities within the overall construction schedule.
  • Monitor work quality, productivity, material usage, and adherence to safety regulations and project-specific HSE requirements.
  • Support inspections, walk-downs, punch management, and handover activities in preparation for pre-commissioning and commissioning.
  • Identify technical issues, quality deviations, and execution risks on site and support the implementation of corrective actions together with site management and Contractors.
  • Review and verify technical documentation, drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection reports, and work packages related to painting and insulation activities.
  • Track work progress and provide structured reporting to site management regarding progress status, quality issues, delays, manpower, and site coordination topics.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of insulation materials, coatings, paints, and related equipment on site.
  • Promote safe working practices and maintain a proactive safety culture within all painting and insulation activities on site.
  • Handover System Owner with experience reading and working with P&IDs.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have a completed technical education or qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Surface Protection Technology, Corrosion Protection, Insulation Technology, Construction Engineering, or a comparable technical field, or you are a qualified tradesperson with strong site supervision experience in industrial construction projects.
  • You have several years of hands-on experience as a Painting Supervisor, Coating Supervisor, Insulation Supervisor, Painting and Insulation Supervisor, or Site Supervisor within industrial plant construction, oil and gas, petrochemical, LNG, refinery, chemical, or energy projects.
  • You are experienced in supervising industrial painting, coating, blasting, fireproofing, insulation, cladding, and corrosion protection activities on large-scale construction sites.
  • You are familiar with international painting and insulation standards, quality requirements, inspection procedures, and industrial coating systems used in heavy industrial environments.
  • You have practical knowledge of surface preparation methods, coating applications, insulation systems, passive fire protection systems, and preservation requirements for industrial equipment and piping systems.
  • You are experienced in coordinating subcontractors and multicultural site teams in fast-paced construction environments.
  • You are confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings, isometrics, specifications, insulation drawings, coating specifications, and method statements.
  • You demonstrate a strong safety mindset and are experienced in working under strict HSE regulations and permit-to-work systems.
  • You have experience with inspections, quality documentation, punch management, and completion activities related to painting and insulation scopes.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally in English and are confident in coordinating daily activities with Contractors, Clients, QA/QC personnel, and multidisciplinary construction teams.
  • You are organised, proactive, and solution-oriented and you are able to manage priorities effectively within a demanding site environment.
  • You are willing and able to work on site in the United States for the full project duration, including extended working hours if required.
