YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT

TEICON ENGINEERING invites you to join an exciting brownfield petrochemical project in Tiszaújváros, Hungary, where one of the country's largest olefin production facilities is undergoing a major expansion and modernisation. The project includes the revamp and lifetime extension of the existing steam cracker and petrochemical units as well as the implementation of energy-efficiency improvements through modern waste heat recovery systems.

  • Project Location: Tiszaújváros, Hungary
  • Start Date: 14 September 2026
  • Completion Date: End of December 2026 (option to extend)
  • Contract Type: Fixed-term employment or freelance contract
  • Workload: 56 hours per week

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You supervise all mechanical construction activities on site and ensure that work is executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.
  • You coordinate contractors, client representatives and multidisciplinary construction teams to maintain project progress and resolve interface issues.
  • You monitor the installation of mechanical equipment, piping systems, steel structures and associated components in compliance with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
  • You verify that mechanical works are performed in accordance with applicable construction codes, project procedures and contractual requirements.
  • You identify technical issues, initiate corrective actions and support the timely resolution of construction-related challenges.
  • You coordinate interfaces with civil, piping, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning teams to ensure efficient execution of the overall construction programme.
  • You monitor work progress, verify completed works and ensure that all construction activities are properly documented.
  • You ensure full compliance with project HSE requirements and actively promote a strong safety culture throughout all mechanical construction activities.
  • You prepare regular progress reports and communicate construction status, quality issues and project risks to site management.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You have several years of experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on large industrial construction projects.
  • You have practical experience supervising the installation of static and rotating equipment, piping systems and general mechanical construction works within the process industry.
  • You are familiar with mechanical construction standards, international codes, project specifications and safe work procedures.
  • You have experience coordinating contractors within multidisciplinary international construction teams.
  • You communicate confidently in English and enjoy working in an international project environment.
  • You are immediately eligible to work in Hungary as a local employee, European citizen or other national with unrestricted work authorisation for Hungary.
  • Knowledge of Hungarian is considered an advantage.
